Lactate Scout 4: Lactate Scout Assistant Software
The Lactate Scout 4, in its Start and Field Case formats, includes the Lactate Scout Assistant software, a simple software that allows for the data stored by the Lactate Scout 4 to be captured and processed.
The new Lactate Scout 4 analyser includes a Bluetooth chip that enables you to transmit the data stored in the analyser to a Windows PC. This Bluetooth chip corresponds to version 4.1 (Bluegiga, Low Energy), so it is only valid for computers which have the same type of Bluetooth connection. Otherwise, the user will need a Bluetooth 4.1 Adaptor, which must be continuously connected to the computer in order for the software to work properly.
One of the most remarkable and innovative updates of the Lactate Scout 4 is that it is the only portable lactate analyser that can be connected to heart rate measuring devices that have the same Bluetooth connection (V 4.1, Low Energy). The Lactate Scout 4 can store the lactate concentration and the heart rate of the user who has a heart rate device connected to the analyser.
The Lactate Scout Assistant software is very easy to use and apart from downloading the data stored in the analyser (the data that has not been previously downloaded), allows us to manually enter more training parameters such as the type of test and the parameters of speed and power. The software also offers us the possibility of calculating the Anaerobic Threshold using any of the following three methods: Mader Anaerobic Threshold, Simon’s Anaerobic Individual Threshold and Keul’s Individual Anaerobic Threshold.
Once all data is ready, we can ask the software to generate a graph where all data will be shown: the intensity values, the heart rate and the lactate concentration of the Anaerobic Threshold.
The software also offers us the possibility of printing a test report or saving it as a PDF.
