Proper Conservation of Lactate Scout Test Strips
In order to ensure that they retain all their properties, it is recommended that the test strips of the Lactate Scout portable lactate analyser are stored in the fridge with the bottle properly closed.
The optimum temperature to keep the test strips of the Lactate Scout is between -18°C and +8°C, although it is not a problem to keep them out of the fridge at temperatures below 25°C for a maximum of 30 days with the bottle properly closed. This way, we can ship the material without using a refrigerated transport.
It is essential to temper the test strips before completing a measurement in order to make sure that the strips reach a temperature similar to that of the analyser, and to ensure that the measurements are correct. To do this, it is best to remove the strips from the fridge about 20 minutes before use.
The test strips are very sensitive to humidity and sunlight, so it is not advisable to keep the bottle open for a long time.
Once the canister of the test strips has been opened, the functionality of the strips is guaranteed for a period of three months, or until the expiry date if it is before those three months.
The Lactate Scout test strips are presented in 3 formats:
Please remember that the Lactate Scout test strips are valid for all versions of the analyser: Lactate Scout, Lactate Scout+ and Lactate Scout 4.
